Arçelik contributes to the rEUman project as an industrial partner by leveraging its expertise in remanufacturing for home appliances, especially for washing machines. Arçelik will deploy a new use case for rEUman. It focuses on increasing the regeneration rate of remanufacturing process, developing human centric disassembly methods, worker empowerment for safety, post-use product remanufacturability assessment, faster and more reliable test methods for the washing machine and its components. Besides, Arçelik will also study with the other rEUman partners in the consortium to develop sustainable solutions for rEUman project. The developed solutions for the washing machine remanufacturing facility will be a pioneer for household appliances industry and provide an enormous potential for other Arçelik household appliance factories to help achieve a more sustainable world.
